The relatively small size of most indie developers should also be appreciated. There's hope that it can also help them appreciate that indie game development is also an arduous process, even if it doesn't aim for photorealistic graphics or cinematic production values. The discourse that's resulted from the GTA leak may give gamers a better appreciation for the work that goes into big-budget game development. While its budget was surely a minuscule fraction of GTA's, it still had a rough cut phase of its own.
